hytl.tools Discord Bot Privacy Policy

Last updated: 26 July 2026

What the bot does

The hytl.tools Discord bot lets Discord users look up publicly available Hytale profile information, such as usernames, name history and skins. This policy covers the bot only. Use of the hytl.tools website is covered by the site's own privacy policy.

Data we process

When you use a slash command, the bot receives from Discord:

  • The command you ran and the options you entered (for example a Hytale username or profile UUID)
  • Standard interaction metadata Discord sends with every command, such as your Discord user ID and the server and channel the command was used in

This information is used only to answer your command. Lookups are answered from hytl.tools' own database of publicly available Hytale profile data.

What we store

The bot does not maintain a database of Discord users. We do not store your Discord user ID, your messages, or your command inputs after a command has been answered. The bot cannot read messages in your server; it only receives the slash commands you send it. Technical error logs, which may include the name of the command that failed, are kept for a short period for debugging.

Third parties

The bot runs on Discord, so your use of it is also subject to Discord's own privacy policy. Skin images are rendered by the hytl.skin service from public Hytale cosmetic data. We do not sell or share data with anyone else.
